A trip into the heartland of Hordaland - discovering fjords and mountain plateau; discovering your adventurous side or simply soaking up the stunning scenery.
Day 1:
Bergen to Voss
Your trip begins in Bergen, where you drive off the ferry or pick up your car. If you don't have time to look round this historical town now, you should try and arrange time to explore the bryggen and fish market, on your return. For now it's time to head inland to your first night at Park Hotel Vossevangen in Voss.
Park Hotel Vossevangen has all you need to make your stay memorable with restaurants, a piano bar and a night club.
Day 2
A Day to Explore Voss
Situated on the banks of Vangsvatnet and surround by stunning scenery, you have time to relax and enjoy the scenery, explore the town of Voss, or take the opportunity to try one of the many adventure activities in the area such as white water rafting. You can also discover the Norway of old at the various museums in and around Voss.
Voss offers a lot of outdoor activities: you can go horse riding, rafting and kayaking,or even a bit of team-building in cold water, with relaxation in a hot tub afterwards, play river games. In winter time it is all about skiing.Find out more information about activities by clicking here.
Day 3
After a nice big breakfast it is time to check-out of Norsjø Hotel and make your way towards the well known village of Ulvik in Hardanger, overlooking the Hardangerfjord in Norway. Check-in at the Ulvik Fjordhotel, a traditional Norwegian style hotel situated just outside the centre.
The Hotel is family run and pride itself on good food and creating a relaxing atmosphere for the guests. All rooms have en-suite facilities, telephone, radio and free wireless internet. There is big screen satellite TV in lounge.
Relax and spend the rest of the day discovering Ulvik and deciding which of the multitude of attractions you will visit of the next two days. Osa fjell (Osa mountain), the spectacular Vøringsfossen (Vørings waterfall), Eidfjord,
or of course the famous Hardangervidda mountain plateau.
Days 4 and 5
The extensive grounds of your hotel offer lovely views of the fjord and is equipped with a barbecue as well as a large play area for children. The large garden is perfect for relaxing and enjoying our beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
More than this of course is the surrounding area beckoning you to discover its rich nature.
- Go hiking or walking on one of many well marked footpaths (on your own or with a guide)
- Go bird watching (locally or on the Hardangervidda (mountain range)
- Go waterskiing
- Take a helicopter trip over the Hardangervidda
- Take a Fjord cruise on the Ulvik & Osa Fjord
- Go fishing
- Use the hotel`s rowing boat - free for hotel guests
- Go swimming in the fjord
- Watch the folklore dancers (you can even join in!)
- Visit one of our galleries or farms
- Hire a bicycle for the day
- Take other excursions in and around Ulvik

Day 6
It's time to pack your luggage as, after your final breakfast of this trip, it is time to drive back to Bergen.
