Introducing Vrådal Panormama

Winter or Summer, Vrådal Panorama offers holiday makers easy access to the countryside and a place to stay on a vacation in the mountains of Telemark. Vrådal Panorama is a Ski Centre with a commitment to summer holiday makers.

In the area there are activities the whole year through. In the winter, you can take, among other lifts, the 8 seat chairlift to the top. Enjoy skiing downhill, cross-country skiing in the mountains, snowshoe walking or horseback riding.

Quality Strand Hotel and Vrådal Hotel both offer fine places to eat throughout the year while Vrådal Panorama Ski Centre has cafes at both ends of the chairlift (depending on season)

Summer Time

In the summer the chairlift is replaced by the gondola, and you can enjoy a nice hike up the mountains, go boating on lake Nisser, visit museums, rent a bike, go fishing, and much more!

Summer Activities

• Mini Golf
  A new golf putting field opened in 2006 and is ope;n from May to October.
• Drive and Hike
  A series of routes are suggested in a map available from Tourist Information. The walks are 1 to 3 hours long and give you a taste of the true Norwegian country.
• Vintage Boat Cruise
  Take a trip on the MS Fram among the small islands of Lake Nisser.
• Horse Riding
  The Straand Horse Centre is a small stables at the Quality Straand Hotel and Resort. They offer horseback riding in the forest, riding lessons, pony riding and rides with horse and wagon.
• Beaver safari
  On Wednesdays from May to September you can join this safari to see how beavers fell trees and build their dams.

Winter Holidays

Wintertime Vrådal has got 60km cross-country trails in addition to the 5 lifts - one of them is the first 8-person chairlift in the world and 15 pistes for snowboarding, alpine and Telemark skiing at Vrådal Panorama Ski Centre.

• Alpine Skiing
  15 marked runs, and 5 lifts together with all the usual facilities you would expect from a popular ski resort.
• Ski School
  Children's ski school together with group or individual lessons in telemark, slalom, snowboad and cross country for all abilities.
• Snowshoe trekking
  Hire your snowshoes and take to the snow covered hills to explore
• Snowpark
  Take to your boards for the snowpark - a rollercoaster, kinkbox, butterbox, wallride quarter amongst other challenges are waiting for you.
