Jegertunet
Resort, or “Hunting Lodge”,
is a small informal but high standard resort situated in the
on the south coast of Norway near Risør.
Just about an hour and a half’s drive from Sandefjord
Torp airport Jegertunet Resort is the ideal for both family holidays or as
a business conference location. The resort has two forms
of accommodation, the Hotel and large luxury self catering cabins set in the
pine forests of Southern Norway.
Days can be spent just relaxing around your home swimming,
taking a sauna or jacuzzi, then a few hours in the solarium.
In the evening take a walk down to the fjord for some fishing or just a gentle
stroll to take in the champagne like air.
This must be the ultimate in luxurious relaxation - typical Scandinavian style.
Hotel
There are eight double rooms and two suites arranged around a courtyard
and inner lawn. Most rooms have a connecting door and are easily transformed
into spacious luxury family accommodation. An extra bed for children under
12 years is available for all rooms). The rooms are very tastefully decorated
and are available for either a short or long stay.
Holiday Cabins
The spacious holiday homes or Cabins (170-200 sq. metres) have different
lay-outs, but they all contain 4 double rooms and elevated areas sleeping 4
children. They are fully equipped with indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna,
solarium. and a cosy Scandinavian fireplace in living room. This typical Norwegian
luxury accommodation is ideal for two families sharing.
In total there are 10 fully equipped holiday homes with 4 double
rooms and elevated areas sleeping 4 children.
Annex
For the more budget conscious we have a plain, but clean and tidy annex with
8 double rooms (bathrooms/showers off hallway). Contact us for details.
Restaurant.
During the season there is a first class restaurant
serving international and Norwegian cuisine made from the
abundance of local produce. In season there is game, moose,
venison, reindeer, game birds on the menu. Add to this to
dishes prepared from some of the best sea food the world
has to offer. This is the Jegertunet Resort Restaurant.
Winter
The winter months offer a whole new range of activities to make up for those
which are only available in the summer. Winter in Norway is a magical experience.
Depending on the month there should be snow so you can visit one of the nearby
ski centres; walking and experiencing the fresh air. or just having fun with
the children sledging then coming home for a dip in the warm pool then to
relax in front of the real log fire.
Company Entertainment
The resort is also frequently used by company groups seeking something out
of the ordinary, be it for entertaining customers, working on special projects,
team-building, kick-offs etc. We provide individualized service in a relaxed,
friendly atmosphere.
Activities
These obviously depend on the season but you can
choose from the following.
- Swimming in the heated out door pool.
- Clay Pigeon Shooting at our own range. (With tuition
if required)
- Canoe tours
- Fishing both for in the Fjord (Salt Water Cod, Whiting,
Mackerel etc) and fresh water (trout, Char, sea trout and
salmon)
- Ice fishing (during the winter months)
- Boat Hire can be arranged. Both self hire and charter
trips.
- Tennis on our own courts
- Horse Riding in the Wilderness
- Walking or longer hikes
- Hunting can be arranged.
You can take the small local ferry to
the seaside town of Risør, renowned for its historical
wooden architecture, or to a little island skirted with beaches
called “Little Denmark”. Golf at Norway’s
best golf course just about half an hours drive away.
