Getting To Norway by Sea
There are fewer and fewer sea routes to Norway - more's the pity because this is a great way to get two holidays in one. And there is something special about arriving in a new country by sea. Even though the airlines have taken over from the ferries as the preferred mode of transport, it really is worth considering taking the sea crossing to Norway.
If yours is a motoring holiday you can take your own car rather than having to get used to a hire car, and then there is there are all those queues you will avoid at the airport. And carting all that luggage about... yes - a ferry crossing certainly has a lot going for it.
DFDS is the only ferry company from the UK with a direct ferry route from Newcastle
to Stavanger, Haugesund and Bergen.
DFDS offer a range of cruise holidays and city cruise breaks as well as holidays on the famous Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Voyage.
From the Shetland Isles, Faroes and Iceland.
