Oslo is situated at the head of the Oslo fjord is Norway's capital city yet the forested countryside is always nearby. There are around 50 museums and art galleries, amongst them internationally known attractions such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum, the Munch Museum.

The Ski Museum in Holmenkollen, the world's oldest museum specialising in skis and the history of skiing, is situated in Holmenkollen ski jump - inside the actual jump, where visitors can experience the magnificent view of Oslo. The plateau is free to visit in the visit, while in the summer it is included in the museum ticket.

Vigeland Park is the city’s most visited attraction, with unmistakable monolith at its centre. Other sculptures are set in a park amidst trees and lawns and are a monument to the celebrated Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland, who spent 40 years creating the life-size statues that decorate the walkways and open spaces.
